Day 54 of 365

On day 45 I started making a lot of beads and I was having problems when I was applying the glaze on the beads... no where to put so many of them... This is my solution to my problem, I made a tower out of floral foam. The tower look a little ugly so I pretty it up covering it with felt.

This week I had a minor surgery. I was unable to use my eyes with attention to details, like painting or drawing... so I decided to make beads.

I'm behind posting but not behind working on my 365 Project.... During this time I was taking a class for a certification, very intensive and lots to read... I managed to get something done each day.

Today I made some jewelry for a gift. I'm trying to give all hand made- hand crafted gifts this year.

I was having problems with my scanner, I got a little behind posting for this month.
All paintings are done with melted crayon technique.

I was a little tired yesterday and I didn't post for Day 31. My muse is getting a little lazy. I've been using my random exercise.... I work on a background, then I try to find a realistic form or shape... I love this exercise because it makes my mind and hand work together. It's kind of like a box of chocolates. Both images were done with this exercise.

For Day 29 I sketched an ATC and Day 30 I painted it. I'm better with female faces.

Well, today I'm taking a little break! I still would like to share my art with you. I made this ATC a few months ago. It was one of my exercises of making a background page and within the abstract background to find a realistic shape. She is not a pretty lady but she shows a some kind of pain on her face... maybe mad... maybe sorrows...... not sure.

Butterfly... little butterfly...

As you were fluttering around me

you made me look up to the sky,

you whispered in my ear,

and showed me

how to spread my wings and fly....

I've been working in stages, seems like I got a lot done the first day... now the details are taking a little more time. After flying around finally the butterfly landed on the canvas.
