Christmas Year Round with Fun Stamper Journey

I have been hosting a Christmas Year Round Card Club, using Fun Stamper Journey (Retired) Stamps and material.

I also created mixed media 4x4 canvases inspired with our theme Christmas Year Round and the same stamp from Fun Stamper Journey.

The theme on the garments  are hand drawn by me.

Painting Bottles

The obsession of bottles continues... I decided this time to paint bottles. I think this painting took less time than any of those mixed media decorated bottles I made last week. I love almost any type of medium but a canvas and acrylic paints still my most preferred. Well I think melted crayon is second.

Bottles, Bottles and more Bottles....

It's been a while again, I'm fully recovered from my hand surgery so back in the art studio creating. I have had an obsession of bottles, good thing I've been collecting them for a while. I decided to decorate them using mixed media. The easy part was to used the mixed media, paper, gel medium, bling, metal and fibers...the hard part was to find the right things for the toppers.  So let me get started with the #graphic45 bottles.
Using the line Botanical Tea and Couture #graphic45...

I had to do a steam-punk bottle... yeah... me!

Beach... rather mermaids and a wood block sail boat hand painted....

and the rest of the ladies....

Playing with Alice!

Another day at the studio, I haven't done a mixed media piece in a while. I drew Alice in the tea cup last year. My friend Nancy kept pushing to do this piece, she is a fan of Alice. I was inspired by Vicky Papaioannou  in YouTube stacking the tea cups on top of each other. I used a different technique this time by using watercolor crayons for the background, molding paste, white acrylic paint and color pencils. Lots of fun in the studio before I have my hand surgery.

Altered Christmas Spoons

Again working hard making inventory for my consignment shop, this time I have been altering spoons with the Christmas theme. The miniature spoons have been a huge hit, after making the first batch they sold out within a week so I had to go back to the drawing board. I also altered some regular stainless steel spoons. Hopefully they will sale as fast as the miniature.
These are regular stainless steel spoons

My New Studio

Welcome to my new studio. Yes long time since I posted, the reason I've been busy "SEEKING" FOR a place to "ART"

I was in half of room, lots of supplies and no place to store them

I found a solution to my problem, we have a one car garage not being used to store a car. We were storing lots of junk, so I decided to clean, paint, degrease and put some color on the cabinets. I thought my problem was solved until.....

An antique car came into our lives, hubs bought a 1964 (1/2)Mustang, the car needed a home. We had to make a decision to build a new garage or maybe just build a new studio for me.

And guess what …..This is the inside of my new place, I want to thank ArteDar for helping move we had so much fun during the holidays and we also worked very hard. Thank you girlfriend… I’m so happy here…

Workshop with Tim Holtz

Random Thoughts

Bottle for Mario
Random Thoughts finally has a home, he always reminded me of Tim Holtz. I was finally able to give it to him during an awesome workshop I attended at the Queen's Ink in Savage Mills MD. I had royal time, thanks to Patti the owner of the store and thanks to Tim Holtz and Mario for a wonderful time! I also created an altered bottle for Mario to show a little appreciation for their hard work.

Graphic 45 Ladies Diary Train Case

This project has taken a little longer than anticipated,  I really love the trims, the lace flowers are from a vintage hat. I wanted to look very Victorian, I think I have accomplished my own challenge.  Love, love Graphic 45 papers.

My First Comission Painting

Today I sold my first commission painting, I'm so excited and happy. There is always a FIRST something accomplishment in your life that keeps you going, a new step on your journey.  I really enjoyed painting this unicorn and I hope the owner enjoys it as much I did painting it.
